Detailed Itinerary
Arrive in Chennai and drive (approx. 1.5 hrs) along the scenic East Coast Road to Mahabalipuram. Check in to your beachside resort and spend the evening relaxing on the shore or exploring local cafés and handicraft stalls.
After breakfast, set out on a guided sightseeing tour. Visit the Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, and the Five Rathas - masterpieces of Pallava rock architecture. Explore Krishna’s Butter Ball and Mahishasura Mardini Cave Temple. Evening free to relax by the beach and enjoy the sunset.
Enjoy breakfast at the resort. If time permits, visit DakshinaChitra Heritage Village (en route to Chennai) to experience South Indian art and craft traditions. Later, drive back to Chennai for your onward journey.
